The International College for Personal and Professional Development (ICPPD) is a recognised provider of education and training for those working in the caring and helping professions. Founded in 2009 by Christine and Tom Moran, ICPPD evolved from New Beginnings Counselling Ltd, a long established counselling service that has provided professional, compassionate and confidential support to individuals, couples and families across the Midlands for almost twenty years.
ICPPD was created to deliver high quality education and training programmes while allowing New Beginnings to continue its focus on counselling and supervision services. Today, ICPPD is regarded as a leader in the field of personal and professional development, supporting both members of the public and professionals working within the caring and helping arena.
At the heart of ICPPD’s ethos is a holistic and person centred approach to learning. The College attracts learners who value an integrated perspective on helping and healing, with courses that place strong emphasis on creativity, reflective practice and scholarly activity. As demand continues to grow for integrated approaches to health and wellbeing, ICPPD graduates are equipped to respond to this emerging need.
All programmes delivered by ICPPD are rooted in the humanistic tradition. Learning is designed to meet the individual on a physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual and behavioural level, supporting personal growth alongside professional competence. While the College maintains a strong academic focus, equal importance is placed on clinical practice, research and the continued professional development of practitioners, particularly within the field of psychological therapies.
ICPPD works closely with recognised awarding and professional bodies, including QQI and IACP. These organisations have validated and accredited programmes delivered by the College, reinforcing ICPPD’s commitment to high standards in education and training.
As an education provider, ICPPD recognises its responsibilities under Equal Status legislation and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for learners with additional needs. This approach is outlined within the ICPPD Quality Assurance Manual and Disability Policy.
Through its integrated, humanistic and professionally focused approach, ICPPD continues to support learners in developing the knowledge, skills and insight required for effective personal and professional practice.
