Chakra Wisdom – Colour, Sound and Movement – 1-Day Workshop
This workshop invites you to come with an open mind and a compassionate heart, to reconnect with your ancient wisdom. Spend the day in discussion and practice of meditation, colour, movement and sound as ways of accessing the Sacred within yourself and others.
This day is an opportunity to experience and reclaim a sense of self through the chakras and expressive arts.
This experiential workshop invites and encourages you to connect with yourself and
support your path towards wholeness in a gentle way.
The Sanskrit word Chakra literally translates to wheel or disk. Chakras are centers of energy, located on the midline of the body. There are seven main chakras, and they govern our psychological properties. Starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head, chakras located on the lower part of our body are our instinctual side, the highest ones our mental side.
To visualise a chakra in the body, imagine a swirling wheel of energy where matter and consciousness meet. This invisible energy, called Prana, is vital life force, which keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive.
What to bring: Comfortable clothing to move and do art in, an openness and willingness to connect with your creative spirit.
Facilitator: Christine Moran, MA, MIACP, MNAPCP, IACP Accredited Supervisor. Expressive Arts Therapist, Author.
Participants will receive a CPD certificate of attendance from ICPPD.
